Stephane Huiban is the Chief Technical Officer at Vedanta Oil and Gas Limited. He joined Cairn in 2025 as Head of Drilling, where he strengthened key partnerships across contracting services and rig procurement.

With over 25 years of global experience, Stephane brings extensive expertise in drilling, field development, production optimisation, and project execution.

At Vedanta Oil & Gas, he leads the company’s technical functions across exploration, subsurface development, well delivery, drilling operations, and production facilities, with a focus on driving production growth, operational efficiency, technology adoption, and safe, responsible operations.

Having worked across diverse upstream projects, from mature onshore assets to deepwater exploration campaigns, Stephane has successfully led multidisciplinary teams and delivered complex projects across multiple geographies.

Prior to joining Cairn, Vedanta, Stephane held leadership roles with Perenco, SLB, Ophir Energy, Addax Petroleum, and Maurel & Prom. He holds a Master’s degree in Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University.
