Pravin Kumar currently appointed as Director – Projects joined Vedanta Group in 2004. With 21 years of experience, Pravin has held leadership roles in multiple business verticals across various projects and operations in the Vedanta Group.

He is driving Growth Projects at Cairn to unlock the full R&R potential. His priorities include identifying and deploying the best technology and global business partners in EOR (ASP) , Tight oil, Unconventional and Deepwater offshore exploration and development projects.

Prior to the current role, he led the Aluminium business operations at Jharsuguda as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer – Metals and was instrumental in setting up the state-of-the-art Aluminium complex at Jharsuguda and BALCO.

Pravin is a Production Engineering graduate from BIT, Sindri. Through Vedanta’s Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP), he further completed his M.Tech in manufacturing from BITS, Pilani. He is an avid reader with great interest in inspirational and leadership books and enjoys spending time with his family.
